Overview

• North Male’ – In every part of these atolls, we have waves that are accessible at any given time of the year due to the close proximity of the atoll to the airport and capital island Male’. Listed below are some of our favourite, most popular spots. • Cokes - A popular right wave amongst locals and tourists alike, Cokes is located off the local island of Thulusdhoo, a few metres of paddle away from the shore. Known for the barrels and is one for experienced surfers – and beginners on a smaller swell. • Chickens - perfectly aligned across Cokes is this epic left wave, which is a reef break and the furthest north wave in the atoll. This one is perfect for experienced surfers, and the best season for Chickens is typically April through September, although the swells change from time to time and you get some good waves all year long. • Pasta Point - This wave is by far the most popular surf point in the Maldives. Pasta Point, discovered and put on the map by the legends who initiated surfing as a sport in the Maldives, is a favourite point for leftriders and best between April and October. • Jailbreaks – This is one of the widest surf points in the Maldives, and is popular for having many different take-off spots. As a pretty wide wave, you can probably get three or four barrels within this (approximately) 100-yard wave. You can access this wave by boat and find many local and tourist surfers here. • Sultans – Wildly popular and easily accessible, sultans give you a long wave with a hollow inside to ride. This wave is perfect for anyone from beginners to professionals and is perfect for rights. The Sultans Swells are popular from April to August. • Honkys – Connected to Honkys at the takeoff zone, the swells are turned towards the island. The lefts of these waves are famous and at times can get pretty wild, wrapping you up in them and taking you right to the island. • Lohis – A pretty rad lefthander, this wave can take you on a long ride where the inside section ends close to the coral reef near the island. Easily accessible by boat or through the island, this wave is popular from April to August.
